In design, it really is closer to an HD-28V with golden era bracing though it definitely has its own unique sound. right now I own 3 guitars, a Martin ADK/EIR 0000 custom, an old 00-18, and an eastman e10ss (their take on a j45) and at least 50% of my play time is on the Eastman.

Mar 26, 2014 #5. hi ts, I had the same kinda probs leading up to buying my EOM the E6 or E10 I also tried the E20 but decided mahogany was the one for me. What I noticed mostly comparing the 6 and 10 was the sound of the guitars was quite strong, thats down to the 'physical acoustic design' Eastman use.

The tone is not the same as a Martin, some say closer to a Collings. In any case, it's a beautiful instrument.
